Booking details

Engagements & proposals: Both packages can be used for love-story or engagement portraits. A surprise proposal has packages of its own - see proposal photography.
Tax: All prices are in CAD. GST is added to the listed package price.
Studio sessions: Studio rental is additional and starts at $50 per hour.
Travel: A $20 travel fee applies to West Vancouver, Richmond, UBC, and Spanish Banks.

I love photographing weddings, and I'm just as drawn to the moments before them - everyday love stories, newly engaged excitement, and the few unforgettable seconds when someone asks a life-changing question. I photograph couples around Langley, the Fraser Valley and all of Greater Vancouver.

Surprise proposals are especially fun for me. I love helping plan the spot, the timing and the small details, quietly waiting for everything to unfold, and then watching the emotion take over. No two reactions are ever the same.

I'll guide you throughout, but I'll also leave room for the real interactions that make the photos feel like your relationship rather than a performance. After more than 10 years and 1,000 sessions, it still feels moving to watch two people choose each other.

There isn't only one reason to book a couples session. You may want to celebrate the relationship you already share, photograph the excitement of being newly engaged, or keep the moment one of you asks a life-changing question.

An engagement session after the yes

An engagement session gives you time to celebrate without the nerves or secrecy of the proposal. It can happen soon after you get engaged or later, while you plan the wedding.

Your photos can go on announcements, invitations or a wedding website - or simply be kept as a record of this exciting chapter.

A love-story session - no milestone required

For couples who want to remember what their relationship feels like right now: an anniversary, a new chapter, or realizing that most of your photos together are quick phone pictures.

We'll make space for the laughter, affection and quiet ways you naturally connect - less posing, more enjoying time together.

A surprise proposal captured as it happens

We'll plan the spot, timing, positioning and small details ahead of time so your partner stays present in the moment without noticing the camera.

I'll be ready for the reaction and the first moments after the yes, and we can follow it with a short engagement session while the excitement is fresh.

Photo session FAQs

When should we schedule engagement photos if we want them for save-the-dates?

Save-the-dates usually go out six to eight months before the wedding, so aim for your session two or three months before that. It leaves time to receive your gallery, choose a favourite and get them printed. Short on time? 48-hour express editing ($150) can help.

Can we have our session somewhere meaningful, like where we first met?

I'd love that. The place you met, had your first date or got engaged gives the photos a story only the two of you share. We'll plan the light and timing around it, and with the Couples Signature, we can add a second nearby spot, such as Fort Langley Village or Derby Reach.

Can we bring a second outfit or visit more than one location?

Yes. The Couples Classic has time for up to two outfits at one location. The Signature gives you up to four outfits and up to two nearby locations, with an extra half hour. Both include help planning what to wear.

Can we incorporate an activity we love, like a picnic, a coffee date, or a walk?

Please do. Doing something you already enjoy together takes the focus off the camera, and the photos feel more like you. A picnic blanket, your usual coffee order or a walk with your dog all work - tell me your idea, and we'll pick a spot that suits it.

What's the best time of day for outdoor couples photos?

Usually the hour or two before sunset, when the light is soft, warm and flattering for everyone. Early morning is beautiful too, and much quieter at popular spots. In summer, that can mean a later start than you'd expect, so I'll suggest a time when we plan your date.

How many edited photos will we receive, and when will they be ready?

With the Couples Classic, you'll receive at least 50 edited images; with the Signature, at least 100. A few previews arrive within two business days and the complete gallery within two weeks, in a private online gallery that stays open for two months. If you need them faster, 48-hour express editing is $150.

Can we book a session to celebrate an anniversary or vow renewal?

Of course - you don't need an engagement to deserve beautiful photos together. An anniversary session works just like any couples session, and we can plan it somewhere that means something to you. For a vow renewal with a ceremony and guests, my elopement collections may suit you better.
