VANCOUVER WEDDING & ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY

Your wedding will move quickly — your photographs will bring it all back

The quiet anticipation, the people who came to celebrate you, the look you exchange before the ceremony begins, and the joyful blur of everything that follows — I photograph your wedding as it genuinely unfolds. With calm guidance when you need it and space to be fully present when you do not, you will receive warm, timeless images that feel like your day and the people you shared it with.

Natural moments with guidance when you need it

I will guide portraits, family groupings, and the timeline where helpful, then step back for the laughter, tears, movement, and honest moments that cannot be staged.

You will know what we need and when we need it. If the schedule shifts, the weather changes, or nerves appear, I will adapt without adding pressure.

More than the formal moments

Your gallery will include the milestones you expect and the fleeting details you may never see yourself: reactions, embraces, nervous hands, and the energy surrounding you.

STEP 1

Build photography into the timeline

Before the wedding, I will help you plan enough time for details, getting ready, family photographs, and couple portraits without making the day feel like one long photoshoot. We will confirm locations, priorities, family groupings, lighting considerations, and whether additional coverage or a second photographer would be helpful.

STEP 2

Live the moment, not the timeline

During the shoot, I will guide posing, movement, expression, and small details while keeping the set collaborative and focused. We will create variety without losing the visual thread that holds the story together.

SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER

Available on request for an additional fee. A second photographer may be helpful for larger weddings, simultaneous preparations in separate locations, multiple ceremony perspectives, or a timeline in which important moments overlap.

ENGAGEMENT SESSION

An engagement session gives you relaxed photographs together before the wedding and a chance to become comfortable with the way we work. It can also create images for invitations, your wedding website, or guest-book displays.

Need more time? Additional coverage is $300 per hour and includes approximately 50 carefully edited images for each added hour. The image counts listed in each collection are minimum estimates; your final gallery will reflect the pace and events of your day.

HI, I'M NATALIE

Vancouver wedding photographer drawn to real connection and honest moments

What I love most about weddings is how many parts of your life come together in one place. While everyone is watching you, I am also watching them: a parent holding back tears, a friend already laughing, or two relatives meeting for the first time. These small reactions are easy to miss, but often become the photographs that mean the most.

I do not need everything to look perfect. I will organize the family portraits, find beautiful light, and guide you when needed, but I will not turn your wedding into a day-long photoshoot. Some of my favourite moments happen when the plan loosens and everyone simply becomes themselves.

After more than ten years and over 1,000 photo sessions, I know that every couple shows love differently. I am not there to make you look like somebody else. I am there to preserve the people, the atmosphere, and the little things that made the day unmistakably yours.

MORE ABOUT NATALIE

Photographs for the part of your wedding that becomes memory

You may spend months making choices for a day that passes in hours. Flowers are carried away, tables are cleared, and everyone returns home. What remains is your marriage, the stories people tell, and the photographs that help all of you see the day again.

Wedding photography matters because memory is selective. You will remember certain feelings vividly and lose small details almost immediately. A complete gallery holds both: the moments you knew were happening and the ones unfolding around you while your attention was somewhere else.

Live the day, not the photographs

Live the day, not the photographs

You should not have to choose between being present and making sure every meaningful person and detail is remembered. When someone you trust is watching the story for you, you can look at your partner during the ceremony, hold your parents a little longer, and join the celebration without wondering whether the moment was captured.

A thoughtful Vancouver wedding photographer does more than photograph a checklist. I will learn which relationships and traditions matter, anticipate the moments that grow around them, and create structure only where it helps. The result is a gallery with room for both the carefully planned portraits and the honest life between them.

See the day as a complete story

See the day as a complete story

While you are living a wedding, you only see one part at a time. You may not know what happened as your partner waited, how the room reacted during the vows, or what your guests were doing while you slipped away for portraits. Your gallery brings those parallel moments together.

That is the value of wedding storytelling. Wide photographs preserve the setting and atmosphere; close details return the texture and care behind your choices; portraits show the two of you at the centre; candid images reveal everything moving around you. Together, they create something richer than a collection of highlights: an honest visual history of the day your marriage began.

Remember everyone who shared the day

Remember everyone who shared the day

Your wedding photographs will become a record of everyone who stood close during this chapter. They will show not only who attended, but how they loved you: the person who steadied your hands, the friend already crying before the vows, the proud expression across the aisle, and the guests who filled the dance floor.

These images often become more valuable with time. A family portrait may be one of the rare occasions when generations are together and beautifully documented. A candid photograph may preserve a gesture or expression so familiar that you only understand its importance years later. Your wedding is about your commitment, but its emotional world includes everyone who helped you reach it.

Photo session FAQs

How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?

Popular summer and weekend dates can book well in advance, so it is best to get in touch once your date and primary venue are confirmed. Elopements and weekday celebrations may have more flexibility. If your wedding is coming up soon, please still ask—availability sometimes opens due to schedule changes.

Which wedding collection should we choose?

The Ceremony Collection is designed for an intimate ceremony, family photographs, and a short portrait session. The Essentials Collection works well when you want part of the preparations through the ceremony, portraits, and beginning of the reception. The Signature Collection is intended for a fuller story from preparations through dancing.

Once I understand your timeline and priorities, I can recommend the amount of coverage that fits without leaving important moments rushed.

We feel awkward in photographs. Will you guide us?

Absolutely. Most couples are not used to being photographed together. I will give you simple direction for where to stand, what to do, and how to move, without forcing you into poses that do not feel like you. The goal is to create polished portraits while keeping your attention on each other rather than on performing for the camera.

Do you photograph candid moments and formal family portraits?

Yes. Wedding coverage includes both. I will organize a concise family-photo list before the day so important groupings are captured efficiently, then photograph candid interactions throughout the ceremony and celebration. Your gallery should include the people everyone wants to see clearly and the unscripted moments no one could have planned.

Do we need a second photographer?

Not every wedding requires one. A second photographer can be especially valuable when you are getting ready in separate locations, have a large guest count, want simultaneous perspectives during the ceremony, or have a complex timeline. After hearing your plans, I can explain whether the additional coverage would meaningfully improve your gallery.

When will we receive our photographs?

The Essentials and Signature Collections include a sneak-peek gallery within one week. The delivery timeframe for the complete wedding gallery will be stated in your agreement and confirmed before booking.

Can we customize a package or add an engagement session?

Yes. All collections can be adjusted with additional hours, an engagement session, or a second photographer. Engagement sessions are $300 for one hour or $400 for two hours, and the Signature Collection already includes a complimentary one-hour session.

How do we reserve our wedding date?

Begin by sending your date, venues, and a little about your plans. We will have a brief conversation, confirm the collection or custom coverage, and review the quote. Your date is officially reserved once the agreement is signed and the required retainer has been paid.
