STUDIO & IN-HOME NEWBORN SESSIONS
OVER 1,000+ SESSIONS CAPTURED
10+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
LIMITED DATES AVAILABLE
I will help you choose the setting, coordinate soft and comfortable clothing, and know what to bring so the day feels manageable.
There is time to feed, change, settle, cuddle, and begin again. Nothing about your session depends on your baby following a schedule.
We will photograph the smallest details, but also the arms that hold them, the way you look at them, and the family that changed when they arrived.
THE EXPERIENCE
Reach out while you are expecting and share your due date, preferred setting, and who you would like to include. We will reserve space around your baby’s anticipated arrival, then confirm the session date once they are here.
I will help you decide between a studio and an in-home session, coordinate simple clothing for the family, and prepare for the photographs that matter most to you. You will know what to bring and how the session will flow before the day arrives.
During the session, we will move slowly and pause whenever your baby needs to feed, change, settle, or be held. I will guide the adults and siblings naturally while leaving room for the real moments that happen between photographs.
You will receive the complete collection included in your package through a private online gallery, ready to download, share, and print.
These relaxed lifestyle sessions focus on your baby as they naturally are - awake or asleep, stretching, yawning, feeding, and settling into your arms.
There are no buckets, baskets, tight decorative wrapping, or elaborate poses - only the tiny details and real connection of your baby’s first days.
All listed digital images are included. No separate image purchase is required.
One complete, unhurried session for preserving your baby’s smallest details and your family’s new connection. Your baby sets the pace, with time for feeding, changing, and soothing whenever needed.
NEWBORN TIMING
Newborn sessions are usually reserved before your baby arrives. We will plan around your due date and confirm the exact session date after the birth. If your baby is already here, please still get in touch—beautiful newborn photographs are not limited to one perfect day.
PARENTS & SIBLINGS
Parents and siblings are welcome in the session. Please share your family size and children’s ages when you inquire so we can plan the timing and combinations thoughtfully.
STUDIO & HOME
Studio rental is additional and starts at $50 per hour. In-home sessions are available where travel and lighting conditions allow; we will discuss the best option for your family before booking.
TAX & TRAVEL
All prices are in CAD, and GST is additional. A $20 travel fee applies to West Vancouver, Richmond, UBC, and Spanish Banks. Travel outside the regular service area is quoted separately.
KIND WORDS & HEARTFELT NOTES
HI, I'M NATALIE
As a mom of two, I understand how surreal life becomes after a baby arrives. The days are packed, sleep is scarce, and those precious moments can slip away in an instant. I know the pressure new parents feel to be perfectly ready, but during your newborn session, there’s no need for that.
I’ll help make everything easy and relaxed. We’ll discuss whether you prefer a studio or your cozy home, choose comfy outfits, and focus on what matters most to you. During the session, I’ll gently guide you while ensuring you have time to feed, change, and cuddle your little one. Whether your baby is awake or sleepy, we’ll capture those cherished moments.
With over 10 years as a photographer and 1,000+ sessions behind me, I’ve learned that the simplest photographs often become the most treasured: a tiny hand holding a finger, a loving gaze, or an older sibling leaning in close.
Your newborn photos should not only remind you of your baby’s size but also of the magical feelings you experienced as your family story began!
Right now, your world may feel measured in feeds, naps, laundry, and hours of sleep. It can be difficult to see how quickly these first days are already changing. Newborn photographs give you something the blur cannot: a way to return to the details, the closeness, and the person your family became when this baby arrived.
One day, it will be hard to believe your baby ever fit so completely in your arms. The curled legs will stretch, the tiny fingers will open, and the face you are studying now will change almost before you notice it happening.
A newborn photography session preserves that scale in a way memory cannot. The photographs will show the soft hair, sleepy expressions, wrinkled toes, and the way your hand once covered almost their entire back. These details may feel impossible to forget now. Years from now, they are often the very things parents are most grateful to see again.
Your baby will change, but so will everyone around them. You are becoming a parent, becoming parents together, or learning how your family works with one more person in it. Older children are becoming siblings. Familiar relationships are finding a new shape.
These photographs are not only a record of a newborn. They preserve the way you looked at your baby before that expression became familiar, the careful way you held them, the pride in a sibling’s face, and the closeness that existed even in the middle of exhaustion. You deserve to be in this part of the story, not only behind the camera documenting it for everyone else.
Your baby will not remember these days, but one day they may want to see them. They will see how small they were, where they felt safe, who could not stop looking at them, and how fully they belonged before they knew any of your names.
That is what gives newborn portraits their meaning beyond the first announcement or framed photograph. Over time, they become part of your child’s own history and part of the story your family tells about the moment everything changed. A thoughtfully created Vancouver newborn photography gallery allows that beginning to remain visible long after the details have moved beyond memory.
I recommend getting in touch during pregnancy so we can reserve space around your due date. The exact day can be confirmed after your baby arrives. Many newborn sessions take place within the first two or three weeks, when babies are still very small, but this is not a strict deadline. If your baby has already arrived or is a little older, please reach out and we will plan the session around the stage they are in.
Your baby does not need to sleep for us to create meaningful photographs. Awake expressions, stretches, eye contact, and the way your baby settles in your arms can all become beautiful parts of the gallery. We will follow their rhythm and photograph what they give us rather than treating sleep as a requirement.
Yes. Newborn sessions are intentionally unhurried, and pauses are part of the experience. There is time to feed, change, cuddle, and settle your baby as often as needed. You will never be expected to rush through something your baby needs in order to stay on a photography schedule.
Absolutely. Both packages include photographs of the baby alone and with parents, and siblings are welcome. I will help plan the order of the session so younger children are involved while their energy is best, without asking them to wait through every part of the newborn photographs.
A studio offers a warm, uncluttered setting with controlled light, while an in-home session preserves your family in the place where these first days are unfolding. Your home does not need to look perfect; we only need one or two areas with suitable light. I will help you choose the option that fits your comfort, family, and the feeling you want the photographs to have. Studio rental is additional and starts at $50 per hour.
The proposed Newborn Classic includes minimum 30 professionally edited digital images, and the proposed Newborn Story includes minimum 50.
Your gallery will be delivered within 12 business days and will include high-resolution files for printing and web-ready files for sharing. All listed images are included in the package, with no separate image purchase required.
Yes, I offer gift certificates (both digital and printed) that can be customized to the your needs.
