Family Classic
$500
A relaxed, focused session with plenty of time to create a beautiful variety of photographs.
Family Story
$675
A more complete session with greater variety in outfits, portraits, groupings, and settings.

FAMILY SIZE
Immediate-family sessions are included in the listed price. Extended-family sessions cover up to 6 people, with an additional $25 for each extra participant.
TAX
All prices are in CAD. GST is added to the listed package price.
STUDIO SESSIONS
Studio rental is additional and starts at $50 per hour.
TRAVEL
A $20 travel fee applies to West Vancouver, Richmond, UBC, and Spanish Banks.

I’ve spent more than 10 years photographing families across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, and I’ve learned that every family brings its own rhythm to a session. Some children need time to warm up, while others arrive ready to explore, play, and lead the way. You don’t need to worry about perfect behaviour or getting everyone to smile at the same time—that’s my job to navigate.
After more than 1,000 photo sessions, I know how to provide enough direction for everyone to feel comfortable without making the experience feel stiff or overly posed. I use movement, simple prompts, and play to create natural interactions while also making sure we capture the family portraits you’ll want to frame and share.
Before your session, I’ll help you choose a location and coordinate outfits that photograph beautifully together. We’ll also plan around your children’s ages, your family’s personalities, accessibility needs, and the kind of photographs you want to create.
Whether you’re bringing little ones, teenagers, grandparents, or several generations together, my goal is to make your family photo session feel calm, enjoyable, and true to the people you love.
When is the right time to book a family photo session?
You don’t need to wait for a major milestone to photograph the people you love. Often, the most meaningful time for a family photo session is simply now - while your children are still reaching for your hand, laughing with their whole bodies, and becoming more themselves every day.

Family life changes quietly. Favourite toys disappear, little hands grow, and familiar routines gradually become memories. A family photoshoot gives you a way to preserve this chapter as it really feels - not only how everyone looked, but the connection, energy, and small in-between moments that made it yours.
Your photographs don’t need to document a perfectly planned occasion. They can celebrate slow mornings, playful personalities, the way siblings make each other laugh, or the comfort of being together in a place your family loves.
To bring everyone into the photograph
In many families, one person is usually behind the camera. Your phone may be filled with photographs of your children, but very few that show you there with them.
A professional family session makes space for everyone to be present. It can also be a meaningful opportunity to include grandparents, grown children, or relatives who may not often be together. These photographs become part of your family’s shared history - images that feel even more valuable as the years pass.
To celebrate a milestone - or simply because
Families often book sessions to welcome a new baby, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, mark a graduation, or photograph several generations together. Others book because their children have changed since their last session, or because they’ve been meaning to arrange family photos for years.
There is no perfect age, season, or occasion. The right time is whenever you want to remember your family as you are today.
Photo session FAQs
Which family session is right for us?
The Family Classic is a relaxed, focused session with up to one hour, two outfits, one location, and 50 professionally edited images. Choose the Family Story if you’d like more time, additional groupings and outfit changes, up to two nearby locations, and 100 edited images. If you’re unsure, tell me a little about your family and what you hope to capture, and I’ll help you choose.
What if our children are shy, energetic, or don’t want to pose?
That’s completely normal. Children don’t need to sit still or smile on command for the entire session. I use simple prompts, movement, play, and gentle direction to help everyone feel comfortable. We’ll follow your children’s energy and leave room for the spontaneous expressions and interactions that often become the most meaningful photographs.
What should we wear for our family photos?
I’ll help you coordinate outfits that feel natural and photograph beautifully together. You’ll receive family styling guides and inspiration boards, and you’re welcome to borrow selected pieces from my client closet at no additional cost. The goal is to look coordinated rather than perfectly matched while still feeling like yourselves.
Where can our family session take place, and what happens if it rains?
Your session can take place outdoors or in a studio across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. I’ll help you choose a setting based on your family, preferred style, accessibility needs, and the season. Studio rental is additional and starts at $50 per hour.
For outdoor sessions, I monitor the hourly forecast and usually make a final decision one or two days before the session. If the weather isn’t suitable, we’ll arrange an alternative date.
Can grandparents or extended family members join us?
Absolutely. Immediate-family sessions are included in the listed package price. Extended-family sessions cover up to six people, with an additional $25 for each extra participant. Please share your group size when you inquire so we can plan enough time for the different family groupings you would like photographed.
When and how will we receive our photographs?
Your professionally edited photographs will be ready within 12 business days and delivered through a private online gallery. You’ll receive files suitable for both printing and sharing online, and the gallery will remain available for one month. All digital images listed in your chosen package are included—there is no separate image purchase required.
Do you offer gift certificates for family sessions?
Yes, I offer gift certificates (both digital and printed) that can be customized to the your needs.
