Langley Elopement Photographer

A small ceremony, photographed like the big thing it is

A small wedding can hold just as much as a big one - the vows, the nerves, the people who mean the most. I'll photograph all of it, quietly and without rushing, so you can stay in the moment. Based in Langley, serving Greater Vancouver.

  • Langley & Fraser Valley
  • Elopements · Intimate ceremonies
  • 10+ years experience
  • Fully insured & licensed
  • Over 1,000+ sessions captured
  • Limited wedding dates available
  • Planned with you, not for you

I'll help you think through the spot, the light and the timing, so a small day still feels considered from the first look to the last portrait.

  • Room to be present

With fewer people and less schedule, there's time to slow down. I'll guide you when it helps and step back when the moment doesn't need me.

  • The whole story, not just the vows

The nerves beforehand, the people who came, the quiet minutes after - your gallery holds the full shape of the day, not a few posed frames.

The Elopement Experience

Your elopement, start to finish

  1. Tell me what you're imagining

Share your date or season, how many people will be there, and the kind of place you picture - nothing needs to be decided yet.

    Get in touch

    Step 1

  2. We plan the day together

We'll choose the setting and the time of day for the light, plan the order of the ceremony and portraits, and check what the spot needs - parking, walking, any permit.

    Step 2

  3. Live it, then relive it

On the day I'll photograph it as it unfolds, then deliver your carefully edited, print-ready images in a private online gallery.

Feedback from clients

Hi, I'm Natalie

Elopement photographer for weddings that are small on purpose

A small wedding has its own kind of beauty. Without a big crowd or a packed schedule, there's space for the moments that usually get rushed - a long look before the vows, a parent's hand on a shoulder, the walk afterwards with nowhere to be.

Whether you're marrying in Langley, out in the Fraser Valley or farther afield, I'll help you plan the light, the timing and the little practical details, then keep the direction gentle, so your photos look like the two of you rather than a performance. After more than ten years and over 1,000 photo sessions, I know how to keep a small day feeling relaxed.

A few favourite spots for a small ceremony

A few favourites around Langley - heritage streets, a garden or the riverbank at sunset. Planning a bigger day? See my wedding photography in Langley.

    Fort Langley Village

    Fort Langley

Heritage streets and a quiet riverbank lined with trees - a short walk between the two.

  • Simple wedding photoshoot beside tall glass greenhouse walls, a couple in wedding attire kisses on a mossy path

    Sendall Gardens

    Langley

Garden paths, seasonal flowers and a glass greenhouse - colour and shelter on a grey day.

  • Candid wedding photography across a grassy field, bride and groom laughing as they walk hand in hand

    Derby Reach Park

    Langley Twp

Open meadows, split-rail fences and the river close by - wide, soft evening light.

  • Intimate wedding photos among tall trees, newlywed in a green suit seated on a wooden chair, the bride standing behind

    Brae Island Park

    Fort Langley

Sandy riverbanks and driftwood with mountain views across the Fraser.

Somewhere else in mind? Anywhere in Greater Vancouver works - just tell me where.

Why choose an elopement?

An elopement isn't a lesser wedding - it's a different one. Less to organize, more of the day spent with each other, and photographs that show what it really felt like.

To keep the day about the two of you

With only a few people there, you can actually be with them - and with each other. There's no long receiving line, no schedule to keep up with, and time for the moments in between.

I'll stay close enough to catch the small reactions and far enough to let them happen.

To marry somewhere that feels like you

A small ceremony can go where a big one can't - a riverbank, a forest path, a quiet garden, or a place that already belongs to your story.

We'll plan around the light and the walking, so the setting works for everyone who's there.

To have the whole story, beautifully kept

A short day still has a full arc: getting ready, the vows, the first minutes as a married couple, and the portraits after.

Every image is carefully selected and edited, so the gallery feels as considered as the day itself.

Photo session FAQs

What do your elopement packages include?

Every collection comes with edited, retouched images delivered in a private online gallery, as print-ready high-resolution and web-ready files. Choose two hours and at least 120 images with the Ceremony Collection, or five hours, at least 250 images and a sneak peek within a week with the Essentials Collection.

How much coverage do we need for an elopement?

Think about everything you'd like remembered. For the vows, a few family photos and portraits, two hours is usually plenty. Five hours makes room for getting ready, a first look, a portrait drive or dinner with your guests. If the day runs longer, more time is $500 per hour.

Can you recommend beautiful elopement locations in Langley and Greater Vancouver?

Of course. Around Langley, I love Fort Langley Village, Sendall Gardens and the riverside trails at Derby Reach and Brae Island, and Greater Vancouver adds beaches, lakes and mountain views within an easy drive. Tell me the season and the feeling you want, and I'll suggest a few that fit. Any travel, permit, parking or location fees are confirmed in your quote.

Do you travel for elopements outside Greater Vancouver?

Yes - whether it's the mountains, the island or somewhere farther away, I'd love to hear about it. Travel and accommodation costs are confirmed in your personalized quote before you book, so there are no surprises later.

How far in advance should we book, and do you accept last-minute bookings?

Summer weekends tend to fill first, so it's worth reaching out well ahead. Elopements and weekday ceremonies are often more flexible, though - if your date is only weeks away, please still ask. If I'm free, I'd be glad to be there.

Can we include getting-ready photos, a first look, or a small celebration afterward?

Yes, and they often become favourite parts of the gallery. With five hours, the Essentials Collection usually covers getting ready, a first look, the ceremony, portraits and the start of a dinner or small celebration. With the Ceremony Collection, we can add an hour or two at $500 each.

How many edited photos will we receive?

At least 120 with the Ceremony Collection and 250 with the Essentials, each one edited and retouched. These are minimums - your final count reflects the pace of your day - and every extra hour brings about 50 more images.

Do you photograph courthouse, city hall or backyard ceremonies?

I'd love to. Some of the most moving ceremonies take ten minutes in a small room or under a tree in someone's garden. I'll stay unobtrusive while you say your vows, then we'll take time for portraits - right there, or at a favourite spot close by.

How do we book our date, and is there a deposit?

Tell me your date and a little about the day you're imagining. After a brief chat, I'll confirm the coverage and send you a personalized quote. The date is yours once the agreement is signed and a small deposit is paid; the timing of the remaining balance is spelled out in the agreement.
