Campbell Valley Regional Park is a huge and very versatile location with lots of space to explore. I usually recommend meeting at the South Valley entrance, which offers a lake, open picnic areas, tall grass, and natural greenery. Since the park is a wildlife area, we may occasionally spot harmless garter snakes, but they usually keep to themselves. The park typically doesn’t feel too crowded because of its size, and permit requirements are already taken care of.
